Fat belly Buddha

I'm pretty sure this was found by Leigh Blackall and sent to me a few years ago when he was travelling through Asia. It's an overheard conversation...

- child
* mother
• father

- Mum, where do all those people go to?
* To the temple.
- Why are they going to the temple?
* To prey to Buddha.
- Who?
* Buddha.
-What?
* Buddha!
- What?
* BUDDHA!
-Who is Buddha?
* That's the little guy with the funny face and the fat belly.
- Why doe they believe in him?
* Why? Because they do.
- Do you believe in Buddha?
* Me! No note me.
- Do I have to believe in Buddha?
* That's your own choice.
- Do I have to believe in God when I'm grown up?
* You have to figure that out for yourself.
• But you have to believe in something.

- I just believe in myself.
