What You Are

I have a feeling that this writing is part of an ongoing conversation between the person writing it and the people who clean it off the wall. There actually used to be quite a nice stencil at the top of the removed staircase of a person diving, (i used it on a book cover once) but unfortunately it seems they repainted the wall, painted in a false staircase (where there used to be a shadow of a demolished staircase) and painted over the stencil.

Anyway, the writing reads:

everyday you pass by here

never knowing what you are
only knowing where to go
