This article could be seen as a metaphor for the modern condition of the working man. It seems Mr J. M Shanney invented this certain way of grinding and lathing this certain bolt that fits into a part of this cog that makes this bigger machine work to join with other machines in order to produce a much smaller, yet highly regarded machine that people eventually drive out of the factory to a cheering crowd of masses.
